Rose of Sharon has bloomed a little earlier than usual, this shrub is a
very fast grower.
I planted this shrub about 3 years ago,  the shrub was in a 4" pot
and now is over 5 feet tall.
And once they start blooming they will keep on going
until near frost.
It is a beautiful shrub, although I think next year it might
become a tree.
The Chicago Apaghe has bloomed,  they are a mid-summer bloomer.
The black Eyed Susans has started to bloom,  one of my hubby's favorite
summer flower.
The one variety of Tomatoes I planted called German Queen Hairloom has reached
a height of 6 feet,  is that tall for a tomato plant or what? must be the variety.
The tomatoes on the German Queen is slightly different, it has ridges
on it,  and supposedly has less seeds, and is sweeter.
This is the Lemon Boy a Yellow Tomato with less acid, this will be
interesting to taste once they ripen.

Beautiful blooms Cathy! Those tomatoes are going to be delicious! Your German Queen reminds me of Black Krim - a very tall tomato plant, with ridged fruit.

The Rose of Sharon is so easy, I don't really do anything for it.

Lovely blooms and tomatoes. Isn't it such a tease to have all those green tomatoes around, and hoping the squirrels don't pull them all off, take a bite and then toss them before you get them picked?

Oh, I was going to say I love your dahlia, too. I am pleased that I found the roots I had purchased and planted them a little past the time you are supposed to get them in, and it looks like they will be blooming in the near future.
